Ramzi Salloum, Ph.D., Professor and Division Director for Implementation Science and Health Interventions, has been appointed to serve on the Science of Implementation in Health and Healthcare Study Section (SIHH), a standing study section in the Center for Scientific Review at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The SIHH study section reviews applications that identify, develop, and evaluate dissemination and implementation theories, strategies and methods designed to integrate evidence-based health interventions into public health, clinical, and community settings. Members of NIH review groups must be leaders in their field and have solid judgment and objectivity. Advisory councils at NIH make final decisions for funding proposals after reviewing the recommendations of review groups.

ā€œI am honored to serve on the SIHH study section,ā€ says Salloum. ā€œThis is an opportunity to contribute to the peer review process of NIH studies that are critical to advancing the implementation of evidence-based practices in health and healthcare.ā€

Salloum is the principal investigator on several statewide, national, and international NIH-funded studies focused on implementation science. He has been serving as an ad-hoc NIH study section member since 2016.
