Kelly Tran

My name is Kelly Tran, and I am a third-year pre-medical student at the University of Florida majoring in Microbiology with a minor in Health Disparities. Over the past year, I have worked as a Community Health Worker with UF HealthStreet, where I promote health literacy and advocate for underserved populations. I love teaching and worked as a Microbiology lab TA, teaching students the art of microscopy and etiquette. As an aspiring physician, I am also gaining clinical experience in the ICU as a support technician. These roles have deepened my cultural competency and strengthened my understanding of how to navigate the realities of healthcare while addressing the needs of our diverse communities. I love teaching others, and love learning about what others have to teach. I am excited to be part of this year’s ambassador for FHPLA.
