When to Apply
Applications are accepted for all certificate programs for upcoming Fall terms. However, our department only accepts applications for Implementation Science for Spring terms and no certificate applications for Summer terms.

How to apply for HOBI Graduate Certificate Programs
The instructions below apply to the following HOBI Graduate Certificates:
(1) Complete and submit the UF Admissions Graduate Certificate application.
Complete and submit the UF Admissions Graduate Certificate application based on your current status:
NOTE: Please ensure to answer the following section prompts with the provided information below.
Under the Application Information section – Select “graduate” when prompted to select the level of your intended certificate program.
Under the Certificate Program section – Select “College of Medicine (Level – Graduate),” the specific certificate program, and the upcoming term.
Under Academic Background section – Upload transcripts from your bachelor’s degree program here (optional upload of transcript).
(2) Request the submission of two (2) recommendation letters and submit your CV and statement of purpose to the HOBI Education team.
Requesting Recommendation Letters – Requests for letters of recommendation from UF faculty and staff should be accompanied by the UF Release for Letter of Recommendation form. Applicants are strongly encouraged to include at least one letter from a research mentor, if you have prior research experience.
Recommendation letters should be sent to the HOBI Education team via email at HOBI-Education@ad.ufl.edu.
Submit you CV and statement of purpose via email to HOBI-Education@ad.ufl.edu.
(3) Submit the UF application fee payment.
Submit you application fee following the instructions provided by the UF Office of Admissions.
(4) Arrange for official transcripts to be sent to the UF Office of Admissions.
Arrange to have official transcripts for prior degree programs sent to the UF Office of Admissions following the instructions provided by the Office of Admissions.
Transcripts must be sent to the UF Office of Admissions from each post-secondary institution attended. If you previously attended UF, you do not have to order a transcript; we will be able to access it through the UF system.
International applicants must submit to the Office of Admissions an official copy in the native language of each transcript, mark sheet and diploma/degree certificate from each university or college attended, along with certified, literal (exact) English translations for documents not originally issued in English.
(5) OPTIONAL: Arrange for official test scores to be sent to the UF Office of Admissions.
Arrange to have official test scores (GRE, MCAT, IELTS, MELAB, TOEFL) sent to the UF Office of Admissions following the instructions provided by the Office of Admissions.

The University of Florida’s code for submission of GMAT, GRE, TOEFL and TSE scores is 5812.
Note: Test scores are not required for admission into UF Graduate Certificate programs. Submitted test scores will be used by the Admissions Committee to assess the applicant’s fit as part of their overall application.
(6) Notify us that you have submitted your application via email.
Notify us that you have submitted your application by e-mailing HOBI-Education@ad.ufl.edu with the subject “Graduate Certificate Application Submitted.”
You can check the receipt of materials by the Office of Admissions on the Check Status page. This page will only reflect information concerning materials forwarded directly to the Office of Admissions and does not include materials that are required to be sent directly to your academic unit.
Approximately 24-48 hours after submitting your online application, your 8-digit UF Identification Number (UFID) will be available on the status of your application. Use the same username and password used to submit your CollegeNET application.
Your UFID is unique to you and should be used in all email communication and any subsequent applications submitted.
