Educational Programs

The degree programs and their concentrations are the following:

• Ph.D. in Medical Sciences, Concentrating in Health Outcomes and Implementation Sciences or Biomedical Informatics
• M.S. in Medical Sciences, Concentrating in Health Outcomes and Implementation Sciences or Biomedical Informatics
• Graduate Certificates, Offered in Implementation Science, Biomedical Informatics, and AI & Data Science in Healthcare 

Please follow the instructions linked below to learn about program details and the prerequisites to apply. Applications must be submitted through the University of Florida Graduate School application system. Please do not submit any application materials directly to the department.

Ph.D. in Medical Sciences

HOBI offers either of the following concentrations for students pursuing a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences:

• Health Outcomes and Implementation Science
• Biomedical Informatics

Applications for the following year’s cohort are due by December. Doctoral program applications submitted after this date will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

M.S. in Medical Sciences

HOBI offers either of the following concentrations for students pursuing an M.S. in Medical Sciences:

• Health Outcomes and Implementation Science
• Biomedical Informatics

Applications for the Fall semester cohort are due for consideration by March.

Graduate Certificates

Our department offers the following graduate certificate programs:

• Graduate Certificate in Implementation Science (online option)
• Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Informatics
• Graduate Certificate in AI & Data Science in Healthcare

Application deadlines for Spring or Fall semesters may vary.
