Despite the impressive potential of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines to prevent cancer, missed clinical opportunities lead to low HPV vaccine coverage rates in the United States. The goal of this project is to reduce missed opportunities by enhancing, implementing, and evaluating an existing health information technology (HIT) system in delivering evidence-based vaccination improvement strategies across diverse primary care settings.

This project performed a time-series analysis of changes in STD rates associated with two Maryland sales tax changes applying to alcoholic beverages. The goal is to prepare a manuscript on the results and to disseminate the findings to public health and policy makers.

Social and Health Effects of Changes in Alcohol Prices: A Research Collaborative

The project performed a time-series analysis of results of changes in state alcohol tax prices in Illinois and Massachusetts. Researchers looked at the impact of tax policy on drinking data and alcohol-attributable health outcomes. A manuscript of the results will be disseminated to public health and policy makers.
