About Ruoqi Wei

I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science (specializing in Machine and Deep Learning, focused on Few-Shot Learning and Representation Learning) and a medical degree. During medical school, I conducted research projects involving Geriatric Medicine. During my postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, I collaborated with biomedical scientists and clinicians across various medical specialties, demonstrating data-driven artificial intelligence (AI) research and its effects on mild cognitive impairment and dementia.

My work aims to: 1) Facilitate cost-effective clinical trials using natural language processing (NLP) and computable electronic health record (EHR) phenotyping methods. 2) Advance automated precision medicine from an individual perspective by leveraging clinical big data, including EHRs, time-series data, imaging, and blood-based measures. Using novel machine learning and AI techniques to identify individuals at high risk of disease.

The ultimate goal is to develop therapies that promote healthy aging through translational AI.
