Alex Lee is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics (HOBI). She earned her bachelor’s degree in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida in May of 2015, and is a certified exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. Alex works with the Florida Healthy Kids quality review team at the Institute for Child Health Policy as a graduate student fellow, and contributes to research labs in HOBI under the guidance of Michelle Cardel, Ph.D., R.D.
Her long-term professional goal is to impact the future prevalence of childhood obesity through research that identifies preventative efforts and interventions that are successful in health care and educational environments.
