Jamillah is a student in the graduate certificate in biomedical informatics program in the Department of Health Outcomes & Policy. She received her B.S. in health education from the University of Florida. Currently, she serves as an administrative assistant for Dr. Matthew Gurka, assisting in a variety of unit deliverables, and research and evaluation projects. Prior to this, she interned for the Neuromedicine Interdisciplinary Clinical and Academic Program, where she worked closely with Dr. Jacqueline Baron-Lee on strategies to improve patient experience. Jamillah’s research interest include improving patient safety and patient quality outcomes, and ontology alignment for improved healthcare.
