
Awards are flying into the hands of exceptional employees within the College of Medicine’s Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics. Two are being recognized on February 26 with UF Superior Accomplishment Awards, and one has already been recognized by the UF Health Cancer Institute.

UF Superior Accomplishment Awards recognize UF employees nominated by their peers and selected because of exceptional workplace performance.
Irina Bondoc is the Assistant Director of Analytic Services for the Institute of Child Health Policy, a university-wide institute with administrative support from HOBI. She will be presented with a Sustained Excellence award for all units under the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. A UF graduate with two master’s degrees, Bondoc joined ICHP in 2014.
True orange-and-blue gator Ricky Whitney is the Director of Administrative Services for HOBI. He is receiving a 2026 Superior Accomplishment Award as a representative of the UF Health Colleges, Academic Units, and Research Centers & Institutes. Whitney joined HOBI in 2023 after serving the College of Engineering as Associate Director of Administrative Services.
Cancer Institute awardee

Isabella Waldorff has received the UF Health Cancer Institute’s Population Sciences Research Staff Member of the Year Award. Waldorffhas been a Clinical Research Coordinator in HOBI since 2024 and supports the research of Stephanie Staras, Ph.D., and many others in the Cancer Control and Population Sciences division of the Institute.
