Hogan selected as University Term Professor
William R. Hogan, M.D., M.S., professor in the department of health outcomes and biomedical informatics (HOBI) was selected as a member of the College of Medicine’s 2019-20 class of University Term Professors. Hogan, a preeminence professor who came to UF in 2014 to establish a biomedical informatics program in the College of Medicine, also serves as director of biomedical informatics at the UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and the OneFlorida Clinical Research Consortium.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by the university for my accomplishments in establishing biomedical informatics here as a thriving academic discipline,” Hogan said.
The UF Provost’s Office chooses 250 university faculty for this three-year award in recognition of their academic accomplishments. Selection is based on nominations from faculty advisory committees and/or department committees. Final decisions are made by the college deans. Awardees receive a salary supplement for three years and may add “University Term Professor” to their academic titles for the award term.
