Congrats to our summer 2019 BMI graduates
Four HOBI students completed their coursework in biomedical informatics and graduated with master’s degrees on Aug. 10. Alex Loiacono and Justin Tauscher were mentored by HOBI Associate Professor Jiang Bian, Ph.D., and Caitrin Rowe and Jong Taek Kim were mentored by HOBI Professor William Hogan, M.D., M.S.
Rowe also completed her thesis, “A Computable Phenotype for Resistant Hypertension: Accurate Antihypertensive Drug Classification and Validation through Manual Chart Review,” with the additional guidance of Dr. Hogan.
All four graduates plan to pursue careers in biomedical informatics.
