Shenkman Joins Selby of PCORI and Munster of UCSF as Invited Speakers at the Association for Health Care Journalists Conference in April

Betsy A. Shenkman, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Health Outcomes & Policy, was invited to speak on a panel discussion at the annual Association for Health Care Journalists conference in Santa Clara, Calif., in April. The conference brought together hundreds of members of the national media each year, as well as nationally recognized speakers, such as Deane Marchbein, M.D., the U.S. president of Doctors Without Borders, and Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald.

Shenkman participated in a panel discussion on new technology and new strategies for clinical trials on Friday, April 24 from 1:40- 3 p.m. with Joe V. Selby, M.D., the executive director of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), and Pamela Munster, M.D., professor in the Department of Medicine (Hematology/Oncology) at the University of California San Francisco.
